Asphalt Plants
Lee Hy Construction has asphalt plants in three Virginia areas: Rockville, New Kent, and Warsaw. These plants make Lee Hy Construction accessible to as many customers as possible. One of our plants should be able to assist with your locality’s paving needs.
Creating asphalt pavement is very specific, and the process is similar to baking. All necessary ingredients are measured, mixed up and heated for the final product. Asphalt starts with aggregate (a mixture of small and large rocks) then asphalt cement is heated and combined with the rocks. At Lee Hy Construction we take this exact science very seriously.

Our Goochland Plant is the largest of our Plant Operations. The Plant has a 400-ton-an-hour ASTEC Double Barrel Plant, with 6 silos that utilize Warm Mix Technology. It serves the Metro Richmond Area as well as Louisa, Fluvanna, Goochland, Henrico, Powhatan and Hanover Counties, and many more.
A variety of VDOT and private mixes are produced from this facility to service the needs of our Customers. Also, an onsite Laboratory is located at this facility, staffed with Certified Technicians who are testing mixes daily to ensure we always produce a quality product.

Located right off Route 60 in New Kent County is our Mountcastle Plant. This Plant has a 350-ton-an-hour ASTEC Double Barrel Plant, with 2 silos that utilize Warm Mix Technology. Mountcastle serves customers in Eastern Henrico, New Kent and Charles City Counties, as well as the Williamsburg/James City area with a variety of VDOT approved asphalt mixes.

Our Warsaw Plant is a 250-ton-an-hour Bituma Plant with one 50-ton silo and one 125-ton silo. This plant is located right off Route 360 in Richmond County, and serves our customers in the Northern Neck area of Virginia. This location boasts a laboratory with on-site VDOT certified technicians for in-house testing of our mixes, to ensure a quality product at all times.
